This large handcrafted butterfly wall art combines resin, genuine quartz crystal, gold leaf and hand-drawn detailing to create a beautiful piece full of colour, texture and depth.

The butterfly’s body is created using quartz crystals with a luxurious gold finish, giving the centre a beautiful textured, almost geode-like appearance.

The wings begin with a layer of gold leaf, followed by clear resin which allows glimpses of the metallic gold to shine through beneath the surface. The colourful pattern is then built up by hand, with POSCA pen detailing used to highlight areas of the design before another layer of clear resin is added to create depth and a glossy finish.

As the light changes, different details, colours and flashes of gold become visible, making this a real statement piece.

Every element has been created by hand in my Creative Native LDN studio on the River Thames, so there will never be another exactly the same.
